Printing/Security Inks: Using the tunable spectral properties of QDs spanning the visible and NIR range, various multicolored QDs can be combined, with or without traditional paint materials, to create unique printing/security codes that can be written on paper, plastic or metal, and that can be read upon illumination. Such fluorescent ‘inks’ containing quantum dots could be the key to creating identification codes that are invisible to the naked eye and very hard to counterfeit.

NanoAxis synthesizes various multicolored (visible to NIR emitting) cadmium based (AxiCad) QDs with unique double layering (CdSe/CdS/ZnS) which ensures their high photo stability and reproducibility in printing/security inks.
